October 2014 | Innovation forum Semantic Media Web
The information and communication technologies in the metropolitan region of Berlin-Brandenburg are currently strongly influenced by various factors and changes. First of all, the region boasts a large and dynamic startup scene. Another important factor is the extensive big data research at TU Berlin, Humboldt University, Konrad-Zuse-Zentrum and various Fraunhofer Institutes. Finally, numerous smaller media companies are being established that could benefit from a closer cooperation with scientific research institutions in semantic technologies.
Xinnovations e.V. invites science and economy to the next public status meeting of the innovation forum Semantic Media Web. The central subject of the two-day event is to report on the technical challenges and the economic importance of semantic processing of content on the basis of practical examples.
Among the speakers are Rolf Fricke, Head of R&D at Condat with a talk on “curation of AV productions in Media” and Magnus Niemann, software architect at Condat with a talk on “Cross-media recommendations in the TV and media sector”.
